In graphic design, color plays a crucial role in influencing how viewers feel. Understanding the psychology of color can help designers create work that is engaging, communicative, and memorable.
I have designed a book which provides information about color and a look into the process of my Senior Capstone. I have created lenticular posters where I paired colors with lyricism. A lenticular is a type of printing technology that provides an illusion of depth, movement, or the merging of two images. This is done by separating the images into strips and having them be on an accordion-like surface. As the viewer walks by, they can see one image transform into the next. One side of the poster uses colors that reflect the emotions of the song, while the opposite side uses colors that completely contradict them.
My work delves into the psychological influences of color, and how it is utilized in design to enhance the viewer’s experience.
